Motor Museum of Western Australia Celebrates Tourism Excellence Win

The Motor Museum of Western Australia has been named the winner of the Tourism Excellence category at the 2026 Swan Chamber of Commerce – City of Swan Business Awards, recognising the Museum’s outstanding contribution to tourism, heritage and visitor experiences in the region. The win was announced at the 2026 awards gala, held at Sandalford Winery, with the Swan Chamber of Commerce confirming the Museum as the category winner for Tourism Excellence.

This recognition celebrates the Museum’s ongoing commitment to delivering a memorable visitor experience, sharing motoring heritage, and contributing to the cultural and tourism appeal of the City of Swan and greater Perth region.

The award acknowledges the Museum’s role as a valued destination for locals, tourists, families, car enthusiasts and community groups alike, and reflects the dedication of the Museum’s team, volunteers and supporters.

Museum Manager Danny Ganon and Marketing Coordinator Naomi Fuller attended the awards evening and accepted the award on behalf of the Motor Museum of Western Australia. In addressing the audience, Danny reflected on the Museum’s more than 30-year presence in Whiteman Park, its role in delivering tourism experiences and sharing Western Australia’s motoring history since 1994, and the dedication of the Museum’s 85-plus volunteers, whose daily contribution helps create welcoming and engaging experiences for visitors year-round.

This is the first award in the Motor Museum of Western Australia’s 30-year history, and the Museum’s Board, staff and volunteers are absolutely delighted to be the recipients.

The Swan Chamber of Commerce and City of Swan Business Awards celebrate business excellence across the East Metropolitan region, with winners recognised for their impact, innovation and contribution to the local community.

The Motor Museum of Western Australia thanks the Swan Chamber of Commerce, the City of Swan, the Mundaring Chamber of Commerce as sponsor of the Tourism Excellence category for recognising the work of the Museum and its place within the region’s tourism landscape.
