A Grand Day Out
Looking for the perfect place to spend quality time with the grandkids?
The Motor Museum of Western Australia offers an unforgettable family experience where families of all ages can come together through history, storytelling and hands-on discovery.
Better still, grandparents receive discounted entry, and children under seven visit FREE, making it an affordable day out that everyone can enjoy.
Make the Journey Part of the Adventure
Why not turn your visit into an exciting day from start to finish?
Catch the train to Whiteman Park Station, where the adventure begins. From there, hop aboard the historic tram that travels through the park to Whiteman Village, home of the Motor Museum. For many children, riding on both a train and a vintage tram is an experience they’ll remember just as much as the museum itself!
Make sure to check the Whiteman Park website for up-to-date timetables for the vintage tram service.
Take A Walk Down Memory Lane
Step inside the museum and you’ll find more than 200 immaculately presented cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles spanning over a century of motoring history.
For grandparents, every corner of the museum will bring back a memory. You might spot the family car from your childhood, the first vehicle you learned to drive in, or the model you always dreamed of owning. Sharing these stories with your grandchildren creates special conversations that simply can’t happen anywhere else.
Inside the first building (Brockwell Hall) you will find vehicles ranging from 1898 through to the 1960’s and when you move into the second building, Ricciardo Hall, you will find our collection of vehicles from the 1960’s to the present day.
