Motor Museum of Western Australia Joins Act Belong Commit

Supporting Our Volunteers Through Connection and Purpose

We’re proud to announce that the Motor Museum of Western Australia has become an official partner of Act Belong Commit, a leading mental health and wellbeing campaign encouraging all Western Australians to stay mentally healthy by being active, connecting with others, and doing meaningful things.

For more than 30 years, the Motor Museum has been sustained by a passionate and growing volunteer community. Founded in 1994 by members of the Council of Motoring Clubs of WA, the Museum has continued to thrive thanks to the commitment and enthusiasm of our volunteers who share a deep love of motoring history.

Our volunteers help preserve Western Australia’s proud motoring heritage through a variety of activities — from guiding visitors and maintaining displays to cataloguing priceless collections. Beyond the vehicles, what truly makes the Museum special is the sense of belonging and purpose it provides.

What This Means For Our Volunteers

By joining the Act Belong Commit program, we’re reaffirming our commitment to the wellbeing of everyone involved in our organisation. Volunteering at the Motor Museum of Western Australia already offers opportunities to stay active, build friendships, and contribute meaningfully to our community — key aspects of what Act Belong Commit stands for.

As a partner, we’ll be proudly displaying Act Belong Commit signage within the Museum and sharing key mental wellbeing messages through our social media channels. We’ll also continue to highlight our activities on the Act Belong Commit Activity Finder to encourage others to get involved, stay connected, and find purpose through volunteering.

For our volunteers, this partnership builds on the values we already live by — staying active, belonging to a supportive community, and committing to something that matters. After all, caring for our mental wellbeing is just as important as preserving our motoring heritage.
