This model is a highly sought after classic, representing a blend of superior conservative engineering with stately elegant styling. It was considered a premier luxury car of its time, rivalling the Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud in both luxury and price.

It features a 3.0-litre fuel injected in line-six cylinder engine, producing 160 horsepower, housed in a stately pillarless long wheelbase body.

Only 3,077 were produced between 1957 and 1962; a small number for a German production run.

Please note that many of the vehicles displayed at the Motor Museum of Western Australia, including this 1960 Mercedes Benz 300d Adenauer Saloon, are on loan to us from private collectors and enthusiasts.
