From sketches to murals, Ellenbrook Secondary College year 10 students have created a lasting legacy at Motor Museum of Western Australia
Finding Inspiration
Year 10 students from the 2024 and 2025 classes have beautified our external corrugated front walls to depict images of vehicles and auto-memorabilia that have at one time, or another featured inside the museum.
The first step in their process is to visit Motor Museum of Western Australia, where, after a brief tour led by one of our volunteers, the students were tasked with photographing and sketching their favourite vehicles.
The collection of images were used in the classroom to develop ideas for a mural that was painted approximately a month later.
2025 Year 10 Student Mural
Year 10 students from 2025 were able to draw inspiration from many aspects from within the museum – for example we have images within the museum depicting the vehicles from the original Cars Movie. One of these characters, Mater, has now been immortalised on the front of our building.
This mural can be found at our museum entrance, the left hand-side.
2024 Year 10 Student Mural
This mural is featured on the right-hand side of our museum entrance, painted by year 10 students in 2024, using vehicles from our collection.
