Whiteman Park

The Motor Museum of WA is located within the grounds of beautiful Whiteman Park.

Whiteman Park is located just a short 25-minute drive from the Perth CBD or 18 kilometres north-east of the
city as the wedge-tailed eagle flies.

No matter where you are coming from, getting to the Park is easy by car. If using a Satnav  key in Motor Museum of WA or Whiteman Park and it will bring you directly to the village where the museum is located. If travelling from the city, northern, western or southern areas it is best to use the Beechboro Road entrance. If travelling from the east, the Drumpellier Drive (old Lord Street)   entrance is the most convenient.

Visit the museum daily from 10.00am to 4.00pm 7 days a week (only closed Christmas day)

Plan your route

Arriving by car, Uber or taxi

Take Great Eastern Hwy from the CBD – until reaching Tonkin Highway, turn left onto Tonkin Hwy and continue north until you see Hepburn Rd exit on your left then exit the Hwy and via right at the roundabout under the Hwy overpass and then turn left into Beechboro Road and continue along until you see Whiteman Park entrance on the left . Note you will see roadwork signs but the Park entrance is open from 8.30am each day.

Take Canning Highway, Great Eastern Highway or Leach Highway, heading north-east until you reach the Tonkin Highway intersection. Turn left onto Tonkin Highway and continue north. Turn right onto Reid Highway. At Beechboro Road turn left. Whiteman Park’s Beechboro Road entrance is approximately 1.5km north of the next intersection (Marshall Road).

Take Wanneroo Road south-bound, then turn left onto Ocean Reef Road, continuing on to Gnangara Road. Follow this until you reach Beechboro Road and turn right. Continue south for approximately 6km. The Whiteman Park entrance is the third entry-point on your left. Please note: There is a taxi rank in the Village at Whiteman Park which will allow you easy pedestrian access to all major attractions and the Village picnic areas.

Arriving by bus

The only regular bus service to Whiteman Park departs from the Morley Bus Station via Bassendean Train Station. For timetabling information, visit the Transperth website or phone 13 62 13. If travelling via train, you can get off at the Bassendean Train Station and then catch the 955 bus service to Ellenbrook. From Morley, catch the 955 bus service to Ellenbrook. There is a bus stop directly outside our Lord Street entrance. When you arrive, please use the courtesy phone located on the southern side of the entrance shelter to call Caversham Wildlife Park for a courtesy pick up on weekdays, or wait at the internal bus stop for weekend shuttle services (see Courtesy bus services below). You can walk to the Village from the Lord Street entrance via the bicycle/walk path behind the Natural Area Management buildings. Locate the Whiteman Park Information sign, cross the carpark and you will find the entrance to the path. Note that it is a 2km walk to the Village. The Walk/Cycle Map shows the location of the path in relation to the road and Lord Street entrance. We do not recommend walking on the road, as there is no path, hence posing a danger to pedestrians.

Whiteman Park operates a courtesy pick up service from our Lord Street entrance to the Village on weekends. This service is run by the Bus Preservation Society of WA. Click here for the current timetable Caversham Wildlife Park also operates a courtesy bus pick up on weekdays by request. This bus service operates from 10.00am to 4.00pm, on the hour, for pick-ups from Lord Street. Return services operates from 10.45am to 4.45pm, on the hour, to meet the 956 return bus to Morley and Bassendean stations. Please phone the Wildlife Park using the intercom at the Lord Street entrance for service.
